4 2 4 - Willie Hamilton & Tommy Walker in midfield - Alex Young providing ammunition for the Terrible Trio - Dave MacKay driving them on from the back - Arthur Mann & Bobby Parker impecable full backs - big Alan Anderson solid at the back and dangerous for us at corners - Cruikie performing miracles as usual when required ........... |
Reasons For Picking Team |
A bit guesswork here - my first match was a 4-2 victory against Hibs in September 1963 so I missed out on the Terrible Trio Glory years but what I've heard and read about them, it was impossible to leave them out - Centre Half was most difficult to name - tempted to put John Cumming in there - he'd have done a job for us no matter where he played - Willie Hamilton was my favourite player- so inventive & creative - and he could score goals I believe he could have been world class if he had self-discipline |
