Reasons For Picking Team | I was more inclined to pick the best players
rather than a balanced team.
I would have a flat back 4 in front of Cruickie. I picked Frail on the form he showed just before his injury when I thought he was magnificent. Mckinlay was great for us for years and I only have to say Scotland V Sweden in Italia 90 to justify Craigie and 'Donkey'. The midfield 3 of Bannon, Mackay and Cameron is silky and hopefully wouldn't need a ball winner as this lot would never lose it! Up front I've gone for Robbo beside Ford. Donald Ford was almost a one man team when I started watching the Jams and I've always wondered what damage he could have done in a different era. The choice of a winger was between McCann and JC. I basically flipped a coin for that one. |
